Sultan Abu Bakar Complex named after the Sultan Abu Bakar of Johor. This complex is also known as the CIQ 2nd Link via the Tuas Checkpoint in Tuas Singapore and it is located in Tanjung Kupang, Johor. This complex is one of the two land ports of entry to Malaysia via the Causeway between Johor Bahru and Singapore.
CIQ second link acts as a vehicular access to commuters and travellers after the border checkpoints for both Malaysia inbound and outbound travelling transaction. All goods including tourist and travellers moving across this second link must clear at the Checkpoint before they continue their journey.
Videography and photography are strictly not allowed at the checkpoint building.
About the CIQ Bus and Passengers Flow
CIQ 2nd Link contains two processing areas for bus and commuters. The transaction can be either inbound or outbound of Malaysia.
Upon arrival of public and private bus services, all passengers are required to alight at the drop off point where passengers need to walk straight to the immigration clearance area. All passengers specially for the travelling tourist community must have a valid visa to enter Malaysia.
After clearing the immigration part, passengers are required proceed to the bus pick up point where passengers need to re-board their buses going to their destination.
Meanwhile for the empty buses, each are required to undergo security check before being allowed to continue their journey for both inbound and outbound of Malaysia. The bus driver will then clear immigration and proceed to the pickup point for passengers to board the bus.
For Causeway Link bus services that terminate inside the CIQ Second Link, the buses are required to go back towards Malaysia without clearing customs via an underpass underneath the immigration building.
