Launching of Free ‘Bas Bandaraya’ by Prime Minister 8 Aug 2014

Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (MBJB) and Handal Indah Sdn. Bhd. launched a free ‘Bas Bandaraya’ service with the use of Travel Card which starts its trial operation on 8th August 2014. The launching ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak at Persada International Convention Center, Johor Bahru. The service uses the Larkin – JB Sentral – MBJB – Jalan Wong Ah Fook – Larkin route with the frequency of one bus every 10 minutes. To board the Bas Bandaraya service, commuters need Travel Card. MBJB was providing 3,000 free MBJB Limited Edition Travel Card for passengers starting from 22nd August 2014 at MBJB’s counter in JB Sentral and Larkin Sentral. Additional card at discounted price of RM5 was also available until 7th September 2014. The normal price of the Travel Card is RM10. The full operation of the service begun on 8th September 2014.
