How to get to Mersing from Johor Bahru?

There are many ways how to get to Mersing. This would be through private hire or chartering services but if you are just traveling here to get to the Ferry terminal, it is highly recommended for you to take public bus services. It’s more economical.
Here are the tips:
Step 1: Buy your ticket at the Larkin Bus Terminal Ticketing kiosks by selecting the Causeway Link Bus service from Johor Bahru to Mersing. You can also buy Causeway Link Bus Tickets online to skip the queue.
Step 2: After paying your fare, you need to get the receipt from the ticketing kiosk and present it to the boarding pass counter to exchange it into boarding pass (Counter 14). If you have bought your ticket online, you can skip step one and change your e-ticket to boarding pass at the boarding pass counter.
Step 3: Proceed at Gate No. 5-14 and show your boarding pass for barcode scanning before you are allowed to get inside the boarding area.
Step 4: Proceed to Platform No.17 at least 15 minutes before bus departure time. Wait for the bus to arrive at the designated platform.
Step 5: Show your ticket to the bus driver before boarding the bus. The bus has a spacious compartment for you to put in your luggage.

Arrival at Mersing Bus Terminal
Upon arriving at the Mersing Bus Terminal, here are the recommended steps for you to connect to the ferry services:
Step 1: Walk for about 10 minutes or approximately 400 meters away from the bus terminal. You need to use the overhead bridge to connect to the other side of the road. However, this bus service can now drop off and pick up passengers at the Jetty terminal main entrance for the convenience of all commuters.
Step 2: Proceed to the ferry ticketing counter (terminal to pay your ferry services including the required environmental fees.
Step 3: Change your purchased ferry ticket to boarding pass which you will show to the boat ticketing inspector before boarding the ferry.
Step 4: Enjoy the ride.
When coming back to Johor Bahru from Mersing, you need to walk to the bus terminal to buy the ticket at the ticketing counter inside the bus terminal selling Causeway Link Bus ticket to Johor Bahru.
However, if you purchased your ticket online, you can wait for the bus at the main entrance of the Jetty terminal.
It is highly suggested to secure your seat by buying it online before your departure date.
