Causeway Link Buses Assisted 1600 Employees to Get their First Dose Vaccine

14th August 2021 : Causeway Link team has been appointed by Shiya Sdn Bhd to assist a total of their 1600 employees  from various locations in Johor to CIDB Negeri Johor to receive their first dose of Covid19 vaccine.

Handal Indah Sdn Bhd under the brand Causeway Link utilised 20 buses to charter all employees following the standard operation procedure set by company to ensure the safety of all the passengers along the journey as well as the other protocols needed to minimise any possible spread of the Covid19 contagious virus.  Shiya Sdn Bhd is one of the leading construction companies in Johor Bahru under the construction sector.

It was almost impossible to arrange the transportation for 1600 workers on my own. Taking all factors into consideration, such as the pick-up order, travelling time and route, and making sure all these factors were able to fit in the given time frame. I was so glad that I’ve chosen an experienced transportation company like Causeway Link to handle the transportation task for us, which saved me a lot of trouble and most importantly their charges are very reasonable.

At the end of the day, all 1600 employees had successfully received their first dose of vaccination and they are sent back to their respective sites. Thanks to the Construction Industry Vaccination Program (CIVac), these frontlines from the construction sector are now well protected against the virus and able to resume their work in a very short period of time.

Causeway Link Buses Assisted Shiya Sdn Bhd to CIDB for CIVac Program

The Construction Industry Vaccination Program (CIVac) is a combined effort between the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia and the Ministry of Works, to ramp up the vaccination rate among the construction workforce to achieve herd immunity and reduce the number of COVID-19 workplace clusters. This would protect the well-being of the employees and thus help accelerate the recovery of the economy.

The group of people that are likely to benefit under CIVac includes companies or employees from contractors, developers, consultants, concessioners (Toll Operator/Maintenance), and construction product supplies sectors. For the manufacturing sector, companies may consider applying for the immunisation program under PIKAS, a public-private partnership Immunisation Programme designed for the manufacturing sector.
