Melaka, January 18, 2025 – The BAS.MY Melaka Marketing Team set up a registration booth at Jalan Pandan Mawar 1, Melaka, as part of the Chinese New Year celebration program hosted by YB Low Chee Leong, the Exco for Rural Development, Agriculture, and Food Security of Melaka.

The booth offered free registration for the BAS.MY Melaka concession card, known as the BAS.MY Melaka Kad Konsesi, allowing eligible Malaysian citizens to register using their MyKad or through the LUGO app. For added convenience, the team also provided an option for interested individuals to purchase a physical card for a one-time payment of RM10, granting unlimited rides on all BAS.MY Melaka buses in Johor Bahru on a yearly basis. The renewal of the card is free.

BAS.MY Melaka is a project initiated by the Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) under the Ministry of Transport, officially launched in October 2024 by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, alongside the Chief Minister of Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh. This initiative aims to enhance public transportation accessibility for Malaysian citizens.

The BAS.MY Melaka Kad Konsesi is designed for the following categories:

• Senior Citizens (aged 60 and above)
• Students (below 17 years old)
• Persons with Disabilities (OKU)

Registered beneficiaries enjoy unlimited free rides on all BAS.MY Melaka buses. Registration can be completed using MyKad or via the LUGO app, which also provides real-time bus tracking and schedule information.

For those preferring a physical card, BAS.MY Melaka offers the Kad Konsesi, which requires a one-time payment and can be renewed as long as the BAS.MM Melaka bus service remains operational in the state.

In addition to the concession card, BAS.My Melaka also provides a “BAS.MY Melaka Kad Tiga Puloh Hari” for 30-day unlimited travel free pass for working Malaysian citizens aged 18 to 59. The pass is available for RM50 per month, allowing unlimited rides and helping users on their transportation costs. Access is available via the LUGO app or MyKad.

Currently, registration and subscription services are available at the BAS.MY Melaka counter in Melaka Sentral, open daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
