BAS.MY Melaka Connects with the Community at Program Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat in Kuala Linggi
Melaka, January 18, 2025 – BAS.MY Melaka made an impactful appearance at the Program Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Othman Shawal, Kuala Linggi, Melaka, bringing essential public transportation services closer to the local community.
The event, which ran from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, served as a valuable opportunity for attendees to interact with the BAS.MY Melaka team. The booth, set up early at 8:00 AM, ensured that the day was well-organized and informative for all visitors. Throughout the day, many local residents, including parents and students, came by the booth to learn about the BAS.MY Melaka Kad Konsesi and the various benefits it offers.
One of the highlights of the day was the interest shown by school students, many of whom were eager to sign up for the Kad Konsesi. It is also worth noting that the roadshow successfully raised awareness about the convenience and advantages of BAS.MY Melaka, providing key information to the community.
BAS.MY Melaka is a public transportation initiative by the Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) under the Ministry of Transport to Melaka. Officially launched in October 2024 by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, alongside Melaka’s Chief Minister YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, this project aims to improve the accessibility of public transport across the state.
The BAS.MY Melaka Kad Konsesi offers special benefits for the following groups namely Senior Citizens (aged 60 and above); Students (under 17 years old); and Persons with Disabilities (OKU).
Registered recipients of the Kad Konsesi enjoy unlimited free rides on all BAS.MY Melaka buses. Registration can be completed through MyKad or the LUGO app, which also offers real-time bus tracking and schedule updates.
For those who prefer a physical card, BAS.MY Melaka provides a convenient option with the Kad Konsesi, available for a one-time fee and renewable for as long as the service operates within the state.
In addition to the Kad Konsesi, BAS.MY Melaka offers the BAS.MY Melaka Kad Tiga Puloh Hari, a 30-day unlimited travel pass priced at RM50. Available for Malaysian citizens aged 18 to 59, this pass helps alleviate transportation costs, providing unlimited rides throughout the month. Access is available through the LUGO app or MyKad.
The BAS.MY Melaka team continues to focus on improving accessibility and ensuring that public transport remains an affordable and dependable option for Malaysians.
