MOT Launched myBAS50 and First Electric Bus In Johor

JOHOR BAHRU | March 28, 2023: Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, has launched the latest myBAS50 unlimited travel passes that will be valid to all myBAS Johor Bahru routes in Johor.
This unlimited ride will be valid for 30 days with a minimal fee of RM50, which will help to lessen the transportation expenses of the community, said by Mr Loke Siew Fook during his speech.
This pass can help to lessen expenses up to 80% especially if the passengers are using those myBAS Johor Bahru routes that goes to Kota Tinggi, Pontian, and Gelang Patah where it requires a long distance. This pass is only for Malaysians, aimed to encourage them to use the bus for their daily travel.
This unlimited travel pass will be available from April 1, 2023 in all myBAS Johor Bahru routes.
The Minister also added that this initiative was first introduced in the Klang Valley which the commuters are using for trains and buses operated by Prasarana.
MyBAS50 registrations are available for registration and subscription to selected counters of Causeway Link and ManjaLink in Johor Bahru. While for online registration and subscription, users are encouraging to use via the Lugo App, a digital assistant that helps passengers of Causeway Link and myBAS Johor Bahru to check their transaction history including myBAS Johor Bahru bus information.
Passengers can check the myBAS Johor Bahru estimated travelling time, arrival time, and bus fare of the bus according to the destination keyed in by the user thru this LUGO App.
On the other hand, the minister has also launched the first electric bus in Johor with a branding of myBAS Johor Bahru. Eight electric buses will be used to ensure sustainable public transportation, reliable services with proper bus schedules, and cashless payment.
The initialization of these EV buses will be on myBAS F100 that runs between KSL City Malla and JB Sentral and myBAST13 that covers the route between Larkin Sentral bus terminal and Jb Sentral Bus Terminal.
Meanwhile, the operation of myBAS Johor Bahru as well as this myBAS50 will be managed by Handal Indah Sdn Bhd, the Network Operator (NO) of myBAS Johor Bahru which is being supervised by the Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD).
