Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY MELAKA
These are the Terms and Conditions which will apply to you when using the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY MELAKA. By using this service, you have unconditionally agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions that outlined under the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY MELAKA product, general use, registration, service cancellation, termination, personal data and among other things.
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you as the “End users(s)” and the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY MELAKA products and services on all BAS.MY Melaka bus services.
1. CONDITIONS
1.1 These Conditions (“Conditions”) are effective from 29th October 2024 at 11:30 AM Malaysia Time and are binding on all persons to whom or on whose behalf a “Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka” product and services is sold to or acquired thru “subscription“ using MyKad/MyTentara and or thru the LUGO APP.
1.2 The “Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka” is initiated by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) Malaysia and supervised by Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD). This program is managed by Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (Company No.: 287467-M) (“HISB”), the Network Operator of BAS.MY Melaka.
1.3 HISB works with other operators called as “Route Operators” (“RO”) to support the demand of all routes for BAS.MY Melaka bus services. Other ROs include Panorama Melaka Sdn Bhd hereby called as Panorama Melaka and MARA Liner Sdn. Bhd hereby called as MARA Liner.
1.4 HISB is responsible for providing services needed by “Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka” for BAS.MY Melaka bus services.
1.5 For the purposes of these Conditions:
“Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka” is a program initiated by the government as an additional cashless payment method to all BAS.MY Melaka bus services using MyKAD, BAS.MY Kad Konsesi, or LUGO App.
“LUGO App” is the authorized application to allow end users to digitally register themselves to subscribe any product(s) provided by Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka.
“Overseer” is a government agency (Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat “APAD” under Ministry of Transport “MOT”) that is looking after the overall all services rendered myBAS Johor Bahru.
“BAS.MY Melaka” is a public transport brand that will carry out the Sustainable Bus Service Transformation (SBST) program in Melaka.
“App Scanning” is an action required by end users to scan the QR Code using “LUGO Application QR readers” to access unlimited free pas under Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka.
“BAS.MY Kad Konsesi” is a product of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka which offers a FREE Bus Ride to students aged 7-17, disabled individuals, and Senior Citizens who are 60 years and above individuals.
“Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had” is a product of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka to allow end users to take unlimited free ride for 30 days upon subscription by using their myKAD or LUGO App with the amount of RM50.00 (Fifty Malaysia Ringgit).
“Personal Details” are the required information provided by end users during the registration via the counter or LUGO App.
“Counter” means authorized physical outlet or offices operated by the Network Provider to provide the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka information including collection of the sales of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and the replacement fee required for BAS.MY Kad Konsesi cards and other Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services that may be made available in future.
“Subscription” means the purchase of any product of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka, as determined by the Handal Indah Sdn Bhd, and other organizing bodies overseeing the overall execution of BAS.MY Melaka bus services.
“Service Providers” means the authorised company(ies) that operates BAS.MY Melaka bus services. This includes Network Operator and Route Operators of BAS.MY Melaka bus services.
“Causeway Link Website” is the official website in relation to the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka and the services and operations related thereto, such website being operated and maintained by the Network Operator, the home page of which, unless otherwise notified by the Service Providers or the Service Operators, shall be www.causewaylink.com.my.
2. ELIGIBILITY
A. Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had Eligibility
2.1a – End user must be a Malaysian with valid MyTentera or MyKad within the age of 19 to 59 years old.
B. BAS.MY Kad Konsesi Eligibility
2.1b End user must be a Malaysian with valid MyTentera or MyKad.
2.1c End user must be a student in private or government educational institution within the age of 7-17 years old, following the year of birth;
2.2d End user must be a senior citizen aged from 60 years old and above following their year of birth;
2.3c For disabled or person with disabilities end users, he/she must have the necessary requirement like (person with disabilities card) as a proof to show during the registration.
3. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF USE
3.1 The subscription of the Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had, BAS.MY Kad Konsesi or any other products of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka, or the use thereof by you, shall be deemed to be acceptance by you of these Conditions and any amendments thereto.
3.2 To obtain Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka, you are required to submit the necessary requirements such as National Registration Identification Card (NRIC) as a proof of your identity to any authorised counters or thru the LUGO App of this program. You shall, at all times, ensure that the information submitted to the Service Providers and any of their authorised Counters or LUGO APP are accurate and true and you shall take all reasonable endeavours to ensure that such information is correct at all times.
3.3 To obtain Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka, you must be eligible on the requirements stated under section 2.B.
3.4 In order to be qualified, you shall at all times:
(a) ensure that you comply with all notices, rules, procedures, instructions and guidelines pertaining to the use of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi as prescribed and issued by the Service Providers from time to time, including any operating rules and/or policies that may be published by HISB from time to time;
(b) abide by all applicable laws and regulations relating to the use of your Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services.
3.5 Your Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi is valid at all times unless it is invalidated or cancelled pursuant to the Conditions herein. Any authorised Counter as well as the back-end system of LUGO App shall have the right, acting reasonably, to inspect your usage of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi at any time, including any travel history(ies) as and when required or ordered by any authorities from any legal matters.
3.6 HISB and other Regional Operators of BAS.MY Melaka Bus Services shall be responsible in ensuring that the Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had, and BAS.MY Kad Konsesi service is operated with reasonable care, skill and diligence. If you discover any discrepancies in the usage of your subscription of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi, you should contact us by submitting your feedback and or concern at “feedback@causewaylink.com.my” with details of the discrepancy.
3.7 You may at any time unsubscribe the use of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had or cancel your usage of BAS.MY Kad Konsesi if you no longer interested in using it.
3.8 You must not tamper the Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi (including, but not limited to, the software and the data recorded on the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka. The Service Providers or any authorised Counter shall not be required to honour transactions, or refund any subscription if your MyKad is damaged due to unforeseen circumstances.
3.9 You are not allowed to share your Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi to be used by other passengers. HISB and other Route Operators has the right to confiscate any illegal use of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had and or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi in all BAS.MY Melaka bus services. And any legal action be imposed to anyone who violates this clause.
3.10 MyKad holder shall and must ensure at all times that their MyKad can accept digital payment transactions.
3.11 Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had is only applicable to BAS.MY Melaka. Any usage of these card shall not be applicable to other states with SBST project.
4. SUBSCRIPTION OF PAS PERJALANAN TANPA HAD
4.1 The subscription of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had can be done to any authorised Service Provider’s counter or via the LUGO APP:
(a) any authorised Counter is entitled to collect the sales of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had from the end user the amount representing the Subscription Cost;
(b) the subscription cost for Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had is RM50 (Fifty Malaysia Ringgit).
(c) the end user is required to subscribe any Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka (Ex. Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had or BAS.MY Kad Konsesi) to get unlimited free ride entitlement to all BAS.MY Melaka Bus Services.
4.2 Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had subscription is non changeable after confirmation.
4.3 Your Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had subscription is included with applicable taxes or whatsoever additional payment required. The payment for this subscription will only be RM50 Nett unless otherwise updated by the management of BAS.MY Melaka project.
4.4 Notwithstanding the payment by you of the subscription fee, your subscription to Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka (ex. Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had) shall at all times remain the exclusive property of BAS.MY Melaka.
4.5 Reactivation fee for the usage of expired Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had is not required. Renewal of Pas Perjalanan Tanpa Had subscription is required if end user agrees to continue the benefits of unlimited ride to all BAS.MY Melaka bus services.
4.6 The Service Providers or any of their authorised Counters, may at their discretion, acting reasonably, not permitted the use of any Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka where:
(a) such MyKad holder is suspected of being a counterfeit, stolen, tampered during the registration process;
(b) MyKad used to register their identity in LUGO Application is not the actual end user;
(c) end user is not a Malaysian Citizen;
(d) end user’s subscription to Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka (either thru MyKad or LUGO App) has expired.
5. SUBSCRIPTION OF BAS.MY Kad Konsesi
5.1 The subscription of BAS.MY Kad Konsesi can be done to any authorised Service Provider’s counter or via the LUGO APP:
(a) Registration to BAS.MY Kad Konsesi is Free to qualified recipients following Section 2.B
(b) The subscription cost for BAS.MY Kad Konsesi is free. However, end users can choose to pay for the card called BAS.MY Konsesi Kad (in Pink Colour) with RM10 per piece following the validity of their registration.
(c) End user will be asked to pay the card cost if the end user lost their BAS.MY Konsesi Kad and requested for a replacement.
5.2 The renewal of BAS.MY Kad Konsesi are as follows:
5.2a For students, the expiry of BAS.MY Kad Konsesi will be on the 31st of the year. Renewal will be open for 30 days before the expiry date.
5.2b For Person with Disabilities and Senior Citizen, their BAS.MY Kad Konsesi will start on their day of subscription plus additional 365 days. The Renewal will be open for 30 days before the expiry date.
5.3b For expired BAS.MY Kad Konsesi, user need to proceed at any authorised counter for re-activation. Passenger must bring in the required eligibilities stated under Section 2.
5.3 Issued BAS.MY Kad Konsesi is non changeable after confirmation.
5.4 Notwithstanding the payment by you of the replacement fee of the BAS.MY Konsesi Kad, your access to BAS.MY Konsesi Kad shall at all times remain the exclusive property of BAS.MY Melaka.
5.5 Reactivation fee for the usage of expired BAS.MY Konsesi is not required. Renewal can be done at the counter or via the LUGO APP.
5.6 The Service Providers or any of the authorised Counters, may at their discretion, acting reasonably, will not allow you to use of BAS.MY Kad Konsesi with the following reasons:
(a) such MyKad holder is suspected of being a counterfeit, stolen, tampered during the registration process;
(b) MyKad or MyTentera used to register their identity in LUGO Application is not the actual end user;
(c) end user is not a Malaysian Citizen;
(d) end user’s subscription to BAS.MY Kad Konsesi (either thru MyKad or MyTentera or LUGO App) has expired.
(e) the issued BAS.MY Kad Konsesi has expired or being used by any unauthorised person.
6. CANCELLATION AND REFUND
6.1 Once a subscription is successful either via the authorised counter or LUGO App, request for refund thereafter for whatsoever reason is not allowed.
6.2 You may cancel your Subscription to Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka at any time by not using the product in any of our BAS. MY Melaka bus services.
6.3 Upon cancellation, refund is not allowed.
6.4 For BAS.MY Kad Konsesi replacement fee, it will not be refunded after a successful transaction from any of our counter unless otherwise the card is found faulty within 7 days after the card is being issued.
7. ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONS
7.1 Authorised counter will not offer you any discounts, rebates, benefits, privileges or incentives to purchase of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services unless otherwise directed by the Service Providers, Management or Overseer of the BAS.MY Melaka.
7.2 BAS.MY Melaka bus service conducts advertising and promotion from time to time. All collaterals are posted in our official website, social media pages, channels and or platforms.
7.3 In the event that our team may have accidently captured you in a form of photo or video while using any of the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services, and it was used for promotional activities for BAS.MY MELAKA promotions, you may to write us an email to request to remove your photo or video if you do not allow it. Send us an email at feedback@causewaylink.com.my.
8. LUGO APP USAGE
8.1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your online usage of LUGO APP (“including the details you provided during your registration“). You shall at all times take reasonable precautions to prevent any unauthorised or fraudulent use of your personal details.
8.2 For renewal of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services using the app, end user will be given a notification to renew their subscription. User will need to follow the steps needed to proceed with the renewal process of their Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka access.
8.3. For Expired subscriptions, users will be given the option to renew their subscription by clicking through the “subscribe” button in the app and proceed to the verification process.
8.4 You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your usage of LUGO App. You should notify us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your personal details have become known to anyone else, or if your identity are being, or are likely to be, used by other users to get the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka privileges.
8.5 All concern regarding the usage of LUGO App shall be submitted via email to feedback@causewaylink.com.my.
9. USAGE OF MyKad
9.1 You shall use all precautions to prevent and safeguard your MyKad against loss, damage, theft and any unauthorized use. Such unauthorized use shall include any manipulation, copying, reverse-engineering, tampering with or modification of the same.
9.2 Each Network Operator, Route Operator, Overseer, Management, Ticketing inspectors, counters, supervisors, and or drivers are not responsible for any losses when using your MyKad in all our BAS.MY Melaka bus service routes and are under no obligation whatsoever to prevent the use of MyKad by any person other than you as the legitimate owner.
9.3 The Service Providers have the right to recover all direct and indirect costs, expenses, losses and damages suffered or incurred by the Service Providers as a result of your altering or interfering, or permitting a third party to alter or interfere, with the data on your subscription of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services.
9.4 You are required to co-operate with the Service Providers or any of their authorized counters and, if appropriate, the police enforcement or any other regulatory or public authority, in recovering your MyKad if it is lost or stolen or if there are reasonable grounds to suspect suspicious behaviour.
9.5 If your MyKad becomes faulty or damaged during your subscription, you are required to bring your MyKad at Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) for further checking.
9.6. Faulty MyKad will not be allowed for subscription on any of Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka products and services.
10. USAGE OF BAS.MY Melaka Konsesi
10.1 You shall use all precautions to prevent and safeguard your BAS.MY Melaka Konsesi against loss, damage, theft and any unauthorized use. Such unauthorized use shall include any manipulation, copying, reverse-engineering, tampering with or modification of the same.
10.2 Each Network Operator, Regional Operator, Overseer, Management, Ticketing inspectors, counters, supervisors, and or drivers are not responsible for any losses when using your MyKad in all our BAS.MY Melaka routes bus services are under no obligation whatsoever to prevent the use of BAS.MY Melaka Konsesis by any person other than you as the legitimate owner.
10.3 You are required to co-operate with the Service Providers or any of their authorized counters and, if appropriate, the police enforcement or any other regulatory or public authority, in recovering your MyKad if it is lost or stolen or if there are reasonable grounds to suspect suspicious behaviour.
10.4 Renewal of BAS.MY Kad Konsesi will follow section 5.
10.5 If the BAS.MY Kad Konsesi is found to be faulty or damaged within the first 7 days of usage, you can bring it to any of our counters for a free replacement. Our team will check the card and provide you with a new one. However, please note that this replacement offer is only valid within the first week of usage. If any issues arise after this period, the card warranty will no longer be valid. We recommend reaching out to our customer service team for further assistance in such cases.
11. LOST AND FOUND
11.1 The Service Provider does not replace or accommodate requests for lost BAS.MY Kad Konsesi. Any lost card can replaced at our counter with additional fee of RM10 for the card cost.
11.2 To switch the lost BAS.MY Melaka Kad Konsesi to the end-users Malaysia Identification Card (IC), a police report is required. This report must be submitted to the network operator’s customer service at feedback@causewaylink.com.my to initiate the process of linking the passenger’s BAS.MY Kad Konsesi to their National Registration Identity Card (NRIC). Passengers must present the advice from the customer service team at the nearest counter within 7 working days.
11.3 The processing time for switching the myBASKonsesi Card to the NRIC will be completed within 1 working day, and the card can be used after 24 hours. End users must bring their IC card to the counter to complete the switching process from their lost BAS.MY Kad Konsesi to their Malaysian IC.
12. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
12.1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary stipulated herein, the Service Providers or their authorised counters shall not be liable to you or any third party authorised by you or making such claim on your behalf for any loss, damage, expenses, claims, injury, whether direct or indirect, that you may incur or suffer in connection with:
(a) the issue or use of (or inability to use) the your MyKad;
(b) any delay, suspension or discontinuance in the approval of your Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka subscription;
(c) any malfunction, unauthorised use, or defect in your MyKad;
(d) any upgrading, modification or maintenance required by the Service Providers into the system used in counters (for registration and subscription) as well as in LUGO App;
(e) any act or omission beyond the control of the Service Providers.
12.2 You agree to indemnify the Service Providers and/or their authorised counters against any loss, damage, expenses, claims, injury, demands (including any legal fees) which may result or which the Service Providers and/or their authorised counters may incur in connection with or arising from the provision of the subscription of myBAS50 to you as a result of any fault or negligence on your part.
13. AMENDMENTS
13.1 The Service Providers may, from time to time, at their absolute discretion, amend any of these Conditions. Any such amendments will be notified to you by way of a notice on the Causeway Link Website, at each authorised counters, the premises of the Service Providers and any such other premises to be determined by HISB.
14. PARTIAL INVALIDITY
14.1 If, at any time, any provision within these Conditions is or becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect under any law of any jurisdiction, the legality, validity or enforceability of such provision or the remaining provisions under the law of any other jurisdiction shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
15. NO WAIVER
15.1 No failure or delay on the part of the Service Providers or any of their authorised counters in exercising any right or remedy pursuant to these Conditions shall operate as a waiver of such right or remedy. The rights and remedies provided in these Conditions are cumulative and are not exclusive of any other rights or remedies provided by law.
16. PERSONAL DATA
16.1 HISB shall have the right to use your personal data and information for the purpose of operating the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka Product and services including but not limited to the transfer of personal data and information to related companies, subsidiaries and outsourcing partners of HISB.
16.2 By accepting these Conditions, you agree that HISB are permitted to share and use your personal data and information for the purposes of operating the Pas Perjalanan BAS.MY Melaka in accordance with applicable laws.
16.3 The data required are your NRIC Number, Full name, Photo, contact details, IC, MyKAD or MyTentera Card.

17. OTHER TERMS
17.1 In the event of any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the meaning between the English texts of these Conditions and such text provided in any other language, the text in English shall prevail.
17.2 All notices, requests and/or other communications to be given by you to the Service Providers shall be made via email at feedback@causewaylink.com.my
17.3 All these terms and conditions maybe change from time to time without prior notice.
18. ENTIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS (AGREEMENT)
18.1 These Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Service Providers and each end user in relation to the subject matter stipulated herein and supersedes all other previous agreements, understandings, terms and conditions, representations and warranties relating to the same unless otherwise notified to you by the Service Providers.
19. GOVERNING LAW
19.1 The construction, validity and performance of these Conditions shall be governed and construed by the laws of Malaysia. The Service Providers and each Card Holder hereby submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
